Thumbs down Formula Taillights leak?

I have a 1994 formula and my taillights leak water. Not into the car but actually into the taillight. One of the actual bulbs burnt out cus of this. Should I just get new lights, or is it just something simple?

try to seal the plastic in the tailight housing.., if its too big of a leak, you need new tailights...ive read of this happening to alot of pontiac lights..(including mine) , the plastic actualy seperates on the taillight housing..hasnt happened to the new one...yet

Had the same problem, went ahead and got new ones.
Hey, if you like you can switch to the honeycombs from the 98-02.

Cool

I just only used white caulking behind the kidney shaped thing(you can see where the lines are)and when this dried,Iused a permanent black marker. Also caulked the little hole inside the kidney shaped thing,as this is where I think the water comes from.(The hatch).Hope this helps.(When you pop the hatch and look down on the left, and the right side, this is where I caulked.)

What did you expect from GM, They did have a TSB (technical service bulletin) for 3rd gens where they wanted you to notch the front bumper with a hand saw, in order to allow the lights to prperly drain and not fog up.

Mine had the same problem with yhe drivers side, previous owner just replaced the entire light fixture. RTV seems so much cheaper.
