I got an opti OEM brand new. I hear people talking about a cap and rotor. Do they all have them? If so when you get it from the dealer does it come with it? I had a friend in parts so I had to go to the dealer if you know what I mean.

 

If you bought a complete GM Opti, you got a case consisting of 2 parts. The front 1/2 of the case is the cap, and immediately inside is the rotor. The back 1/2 of the case houses the bearing and the optical wheel, sensor and electronics.

Hope you paid less than $200.

If you bought a complete, genuine GM OEM OptiSpark distributor, it comes complete with the cap & rotor, and the optical components. You do not need to buy anything else.
