Forgot To Clearance Oil Pan...Help ASAP

Forgot To Clearance Oil Pan...Help ASAP

my newb problems continue. I forgot to clearance the oil pan for the longer stroke....started it up and the rods are obviously hitting the pan.

so now what...

how can I get through this as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Im working on it now so advice fast would be appreciate.

Gonna have to clearance the pan my man...make sure you didn't munch anything up while your rods were knocking around in there too while you're at it.

yeah I know Im pulling the engien mounts now...but uhh....munch up?

what could I possibly have hurt?

Metal shavings going through the oil system and every bearing in it.
Hope the filter caught it all.

Absolutely. I mean, think about it. The rods would be scraping the pan and thus scraping off metal in the process. Very bad deal if it ran that way for any lenght of time. Be very careful. But yeah, hope the filter got it all.

took the pan off, clearanced it...put the pan back on. and Im hearing another knock.

I ran this car for not even 2 minutes at idle trying to figure out the first knocking sound....what are the chances that the metal shavings caused me to spin a rod bearing?

hope I just didnt clearance it enough....
