Forged 4.00 Bore Pistons??
I have used them for 15 years with no trouble.
Ya got to know what ya want and can use.
They can build ya anything ya want.Rouch Racing uses them on their Mustang's so they can't be that bad.
I have them in my solid roller setup and they seem to be working fine. I have only heard good about them from all the local guys.
You need to get the block dismantled and inspect/mic the bores before you order pistons. You can't be sure if all it needs is a finish hone or if more needs to be done until you give it a good inspection. The thing about a hone/bore with a Sunnen (or equivalent) is that it can correct any existing out of roundness and straighten the bores. Even if these were right from the factory, they may not be now due to wear and "seasoning" of the block.
Once you go to all the work of removing and dissasembling the motor, the cost of a bore/hone is minimal. I am not saying I never built a "shade tree" motor, just saying what the "right" way to do it is. If you are really that short of cash, you might want to rethink the whole idea of upping the boost. OTOH, you could do it the redneck way and just pop a set of pistons in and hope for the best.
