Fluid Light
A friend of mine from work has a 1997 Z. She has been trying to sell it, but she now is thinking about keeping it, however there is a problem. She said that the fluid light has been coming on, so she tookit to the dealer. She had all fluids filled or replaced and they are all topped off, but the light keeps coming on. Any body know what's going on?

If it is the low coolant sensor, it is fairly common for it to act up. The light on the dash is an arrow pointing down to a wavy line (coolant).
It is not too hard or expensive to replace. It can also just be unplugged to get rid of the light, but you obviously loose the monitoring capability of the sensor.
Unplugging it won't affect the computer or performance, since the computer does not monitor this sensor.
Haha. People have been asking why my low coolant light has been on for the past year. I just tell them LT1s are really strong and don't need coolant!
j/k. Anyway, yeah, it doesn't affect anything except having another dash light on, but it really evens out the instrument panel with the service engine soon light on the other side always on. One of these days I'll get O2 sims or get my cat fixed.
