fixed vacum leak,,now poor idle ??

got a 97 z28, forged 357 heads/cam etc.
air conditioning, air pump, and egr systems are all deleted.
because of my emissions here, i had to hook my egr selenoid back up, no egr valve though.
had a small metal pipe coming out of the drivers side of the intake manifold that had no hose on it, my dad said it was causing a vacum leak, so i plugged it up.

symptoms before i fixed: nothing, ran fine, when i came to a stop it 100% maintained a 1000-1100 rpm idle.

symptoms after fixed: when i am driving, and i come to a stop, the idle drops to around 4-500 rpms, and almost dies. oil pressure drops real low. does that for about 4-5 seconds, then picks back up to 1100 rpms and all is fine.
this also started happening RIGHT AFTER i hooked my egr selenoid back up.

is this a vacum problem? and if it is i might just undo what i did, because sometimes i gotta give it a lil gas when the idle drops...also, if i'd turn my wheel when it does this, it'd probably die cuz of the power steering.
thanks
-Jason

Sounds like you probably need to reset your IAC after correcting that vacuum leak.

Cracking the TB blades just a bit will help.
