Fix Water Pump with JB Weld?

My water pump is leaking from the top passenger side heater hose press fitting pipe where it mates with the water pump. I've tried putting some rtv around the fitting, but coolant still seems to trickle out. Has anyone had success with JB welding (or other methods) to correctly seal these pipes without buying a completely new unit? The pump was replaced 2 years ago with a brand new GM unit and is not leaking from the weep hole.

If you clean it well, score the surfaces, there is a good chance it will work. Buddy once JB'd a cracked coolant wall in boat block. It worked well.

Quicksteel works great on everything I have used it for. You can pick it up at walmart.

Or you could just fix it correctly.. That's always a great idea.. Not all parts are going to hold forever and ya some times they fail before they should.. Oh well just my .02

JB weld has held 70psi of boost on my intercooler, it should hold a little water.

just bought a remanufactured pump from autozone and put some quicksteel around each of the pipes for extra reassurance. hopefully no leaks for a while...

take the hose off and find a shop that can put new fitting on it and recrimp it. probably not a mechanic shop but a specialty shop. ive got a shop here that does mostly welding stuff but can redo hoses. that is if the hose is expensive, im not sure how much it is.

I've used Proseal (JBWeld) on that exact fitting. As long as the surface is clean and you mix it right it will hold forever.
