First time at track, very pleased
So, I finally made it to the track after owning the car for almost 5 years. You can see my mods list below which is moderate at best. I ran a 13.86 @ 100.88 with a 2.0 60' time. I did this on my all-season 275/40/17 BFG geForce KDWS's. These will need replaced this year because they don't have much tread left.
This, curiously enough, was my first run ever and it was also my fastest. I settled into a bunch of 14.0's and 13.9's the rest of the day, but couldn't beat my first run. Which is very weird because I ran that best time after driving an hour to the track.
I'm just curious what everyone thinks I should be running with this list of mods and then again with the Mac headers that go on next week to fix my horrendous manifold leak (makes the car sound like a piece of junk).
Any and all input welcome.

Not bad at all, as for your first run being the best, when you drive on the high way your car isn't getting that hot as it would in the city. If you have a slighlty working radiator any incoming cold air at those speds should keep you cool, that is unless your radiator is a peace of crap and doesn't work, in that case, your screwed.
that's not too bad when you consider the only real hp additions are the ram air, stat, orp, and cat back, tuning and to an extent the gears
how acuratly are you shifting? do you have a shift light so you are shifting to the car's full potential? i know that made me more consistent (street racing anyway...don't make it to the track much)

good run for 1st track time. The OEM SS ram air hood compared to a CAI is about the same performance on a Z28, unlike a WS6 Trans Am which is closer to a true ram air not an elbowed forced induction. Something you may considere is doing a fan switch to cut the fans on sooner if you have'nt already or better yet running dual spal fans like exotics use, Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc, big difference in air volume. You could always do a Be-Cool radiator but most don't have a need until the do heavy duty heads, cam and definitely after a stroker. I'm sure you are letting your clutch cool down some after each run, if not you'll see a big loss in time if you don't. Congrats on your times. Oh yeah consider Nitto 555r Extreme Drags for the rear....you'll be shocked at the traction, track, street and they are not that bad in the rain so far from what I've seen.
Hey, thanks for the input. On the shifting... heh, well, I just let 'er rip. Basically redlining every shift. That's probably another area in which I could improve. I don't have a shift light or anything like that, but that might be something to look into.
I don't really think I have a heating problem, my temp gauge never reads above the 1/4 mark. Yesterday, after back to back runs, my car wasn't any hotter than it would've been on a drive home from work. I don't have any plans on getting drag radials, but I will consider it. I need to get new everyday tires first, as well as money going to headers to fix my manifold leak.
So how much should I expect from the headers? And what HP numbers do you think I'm at with my times above? Just curious, I want to have it dynoed when I get the headers put on, so maybe I'll get that chance then.
Edit: More on the shifting. I think on my first run, I kind of used the force after first gear and didn't really watch my RPM's. I shifted on more of the feel of the car and maybe I should've tried that later in the day. I got so wrapped up in watching my launch RPM's and shift RPM's, that I really didn't "listen' to the car after the first run. BTW, I was launching between 2500-3000. Should I launch higher? I didn't get much wheel spin at those RPM's.
