First time dyno, Got to be the lowerst head cam numbers EVER!
The converter was unlocked, but I thought that I would see big torque numbers lower too. The weird thing was the torque converter looked like it didn't lock untill around 4700. Could i be over stalled? Even the peak torque numbers were pitiful, they looked like a mild bolt on car. I'm shooting for high 11 later in the year with good weather which I think is possible, but doesn't sound like it with those numbers.
when did u make that run? was it a good amount of time? because i made a run at the track of 13.1 with very basic mods then went for a dyno (mustang dyno) an it was only at like 260hp later work turned up that my car was running lean and i had a bad spark plug this obviously happened after my run at the track
ya I know the track times don't lie, but I feel kind of stupid when someone asks what I have for power and I say those kind of numbers with those track times. And if they didn't see me run they would probally flame me and call BS.
i don't know much about dyno's but was wondering what correction factor, if any, they used on your dyno run ?
they ran mine on a Dynojet and gave me results for SAE corrected and STD corrected .
i don't see any on the Mustang. do they use it?

i was just curious about the Mustang M/O.
This is an email received from the person operating the dyno:
It's more of a marketing deal than anything else. Everyone wants to see big numbers. When your building cars, turbo kits, etc for people and then they post their mustang numbers on the net, they get compared to the competition's dynojet numbers, and then people think something is wrong with your product.
The main thing is that the dyno results are very repeatable. In my mind, it doesn't matter what number comes out of it, as long as I can run 20 similar cars acrossed it and get similar numbers all day long.

Shane
