Watch your speed son, cuz once you get hooked to speed, you WILL get tickets...Just a word of caution.
Have fun!!!

Keep your eyes OPEN! Now is the perfect time to start working on the 7-second rule!!!

If you don't know what that is...

Every 7 seconds, look at all of your mirrors, know what's around you at all times. You just might save yourself from getting a ticket, let alone an accident.

Welcome to the club.
I remember when I got mine back in 97, I thought I could beat anything on the road. Went to the track and promptly got my a$$ handed to me.....Immediately starting modding and it hasn't stopped.

Sound great.

Like they said get a feel for the car first, before you start going crazy stuff. One thing to remember, when your sliding on the road DON'T hit the brakes!! and don't be afread to give it more gas to try to let the car correct it self. I have seen ALOT of newbies behind the wheel of these trying to do the stuff and they was all lost control and hit a curb, it isn't fun. Good luck.

The mod bug as they call it, is more of a lifestyle..

You wait on every paycheck so you can get those headers uve been wanting, or that hood

You dont eat, cuz thats 5 bucks more that could be spend on some 1.6rrs

you wear the same clothes n stuff cuz your saving up for that 58mm tb

you work overtime cuz your only 2 weeks away from ordering that stroker kit and cat back

Not that id know or anything

Yes my Z has made me poor as hell

and im DAMN proud of it!

I just got mine too, March 31st! A 6-speed LT1 with only 45,000 miles and in excellent condition - and I plan on keeping it that way. I'm still getting used to the t-56 and all this torque. I remember the first time I really took it out for a drive , I was with my dad. It really is incredible the amount of attention this car draws. It's like I was driving a porsche or something! Maybe that's because they're a bit less common over here than in the states. Unfortunately I stalled a couple of times but I'm sure that with just a bit more practice I should be fine.

I haven't driven it much lately, because I'm still in school and the weather hasn't been the greatest. I'm looking forward to driving it lots in the summer to go to work and to go out.

I think mods have to be more addictive than heroin.. I have given up like everything just to go faster... work as much as possible.. always saying one last part and i'm done it'll never be done. Drive carful till your used to it though.

You guys are awsome. I let my bro-in-law drive it (he is a huge ford freak), and needless to say, he wants to put his SVT focus up for sale to buy one. This car just makes me smile. Thanks guys. Also, any one from MN ever wanna meet up and play pool, or just go out, PM or post it up. I'm going to Plato this friday. Thanks. Noah
