First Hotcam results

Well went to the track yesterday.......My personal best before the hotcam was

60' 2.234
1/8 9.159
mph 80.4
1/4 13.982
mph 101.58

And my best run yesterday was.....

60' 2.426
1/8 8.978
mph 84.94
1/4 13.573
mph 107.10

That was with no traction, no LT4km (so i prob had negative timing), and a y pipe that was 2.25 inches....which was really hurting me....

I had a friend get into my car and he broke my shifter on his first pass......a little bit before the 1/8th.....here is his slip

60' 1.972
1/8 8.749
mph 71.68
1/4 15.38
mph 61.56

I think that he didn't break the shifter....i would have seen my car do it's first 12's on motor....

what do ya'll think

I just got my LT4km yesterday when i was a the track and my mufflex ypipe is on it's way also....i have a miss somewhere are 5k rpms also....so i'm going to change wires and plugs and maybe through on a cutout.....what do you guys think....12's for sure?

Where did you buy your Mufflex Y-pipe and how much did it cost? Does it fit our dual cat setup? Thanks.

I got the ypipe used from a guy on the board....i haven't got it yet so i don't know how its just going to bolt up....i hope it does...That was with a miss in the engine and with retarded timing....i'm taking care of all of that and i hope to be getting low 12's soon....hehe

Wow, I'd get it tuned something doesn't seem right. You should be running faster with those mods.

Its not his car running poorly, notice the 60' times. Its all in the launch. I bet that 1.9 his friend started with would have put him in the 12s. 13.5 on a 2.4 60' is a solid 12 sec pass with a 2.0 or lower sixty.

I also noticed when i was going down the track that the ypipe that is on it right now was banging against the bottom of the car.....i know that would make the car think it had some false knock....i might just desensitize the KM all together.....Just have to see how it turns out.

I ran 12.70@107mph my first day out with my Hotcam kit almost a year ago with stock 3.23's. If u don't have tuning that is what's needed and some decent 60' times should get u deep 12's. I ran 12.30's@109.7mph last time out with my car and my trans was slipping but my 1/8th mi times are 7.90's. It takes about 8.30 1/8th mi to get 12's.

Well I have pcmforless tuning.....i had bryan do it for me but i think that it is still a little off....it still runs rich sometimes....and i have to let the car warm up before i can go anywhere in it....it doesn't seem to be acting right....maybe it's just one of the wires going out in it....

You definetly have to knock off that 60ft times and your numbers will change drastically!
