first 1/4 run tonight for me

The magazine tests seem to say the A4 was quicker by few 10ths in the 1/4 and 0-60. I read that in Motor Trend and CHP once. Then there is here in the real world with lots of different set up cars not just a test car or two.
I forgot about the 4L60E being in a one way shift set up. My 93 has a 700R4 and you can play with it alot but I'm not sure it is any better really than a 4L60E. I used to really kinda bog down my 1st gear and start in 2nd so it would start off in 1st and automatically shift quick into 2nd to get off the line and not spin before. I couldn't wind out 1st to 5600 RPMs like I do now. My 60' would stink because I was spinning and corrective steering most of the way. When I got sticky tires, beefed A4 tranny and a 3.42 gear I went from a 8.87 1/8 to 7.92 1/8 @ 75-80 mph. I also added the MSD 6A, MSD Blaster GM coil and new AC Delco R43txs plugs and wires at the same time to make better time.
