Fired up the motor today!

I put a 94z28 LT1 into my 95 Impala SS. It started right up and I let it run for a few seconds so I could make sure there were no leaks. Started it back up and it was running really rough and stalled. I checked all the plug wires and they were right. I put the hotcam kit in it while the motor was out. We put the hotcam in right after we replaced the stocker with out moving anything. Did 1/2 turn past lash. Could it be running this bad due to NOT having the egr and air hooked up and not having it tuned out? I am going to get a tune from pcm4less this week(right now the car has a 6speed tune and my car is an auto)
What else should I be looking at?
Thanks
Brandon

Those things won't be an issue regarding running rough.

More details you can give on the issue? How old is the gas?

Very much doubt it is a tuning problem.

I bought the car with no motor and the guy said it had been sitting since June. The first time I fired it up only the passenger fan started, the second time both came on right away. The motor has been sitting since 1999. It was all wrapped and oiled though. I had some of the msd stuff hooked wrong and it would crank and crank.. Wonder if I kinda flooded it.
thanks

Double check your work and make sure there are no vacuum leaks in the system. Also, if the motor has been sitting for a long time, maybe the MAF is dirty and that could lead to a rough running car. It wouldn't hurt to clean that either.
