Finished grinding down dowel pin and installing opti

Well I finally got the dowel pin/opti issue finished last night. I ended up taking a good amount off. From the measurements I took the dowel pin protrudes 6mm or so into the 10 mm indicator slot of the opti. I took a little extra off just so I dont have to go through this again.

Now just to make sure i put the opti on right I rotated the bearing until the slot was lined up with the dowel pin then just slid it on. I pushed around the opti and made sure it sat flush before I bolted it up, which it did. Does this sound alright?

The dowel on my original opti went about 2/3 of the way in, just as what you are saying yours now is. You sound ok to me.

That sounds like a winner to me. Button everything back together and fire it up.
