This car will definitely go very low 11s on a cool day! The heat hurts forced induction cars even more, so give this car a 50-60 degree day at the track, with a nice cooldown between runs, and I bet it goes 11.1 at 125mph.

Congrats, that is one sweet ride!

I actually agree that you have a very good shot at 10's with that setup.

Brett, from Southern Calif., has a very similar setup and runs 10's consistantly. It took him a little while of driving and tuning (he's self tuned w/ LT1 Edit) but once he got there it's been consistant.

What intercooler are you running? I think he did an excellant job on a fairly big unit and some custom hard tubing. Are you able to monitor your IAT's?

He's also got his car stripped of a lot of excess weight, so no a/c, etc. and runs true duals but I still think it's very attainable for you.

I love my car and I run low boost because I don't want to add an aftercooler but I don't think I can even get to the 11's without juice so I say you're doing a great job.

There's more on there that I didn't list but take away the nitrous and that's a bucket full of mods for a 12 second car ;-)

I'm running a 2 core intercooler. Its really not enough. I will eventually step up to the dual cooler setup from ATI. I have a scan toll but have not monitored the IAT's. I built this motor last fall and had a ton of bugs to wodk out since. I blew the 4L60E 3 times on this set up. I finally went to a th350. Best thing I've done yet. The track I ran at is about 2000ft above sea level. I really took it easy coming out of the hole. I'm still running the factory rear and did'nt want to trash it yet. With traction and flashing the converter, it should be in the 1.5-1.6 area at the 60ft. It did a 1.74 with a light launch. I need to dyno tune this thing. So far I'm very happy with the cars performance.

Those times on BFG's are great man. That is eventually where I want to be, 355 ported lt1 heads 12# except I will be running an xe 224/236. Good luck, I'm sure that car has low 11's in it.

Thanks. I will eventually be putting in a blower cam and a set of AFR heads. I want to see how far I can take this set up though. Low 11's would be great!

I agree with what's been said about the car having more in it. With a stock short block, 7 lbs boost, baby blower cam, and no intercooler I had similar times, also with no traction - see sig. I think with slicks, I would be serious low 11's cause of my MPH. So I think his car would have to be somewhat faster than minebased on his mods list. Get the rear and some slicks (& roll cage) and lookout 10's.

Video of your run.

I should have your video of this run completed by the weekend. I'm just swamped right now and haven't had time to get to it yet!

Great times man!! I think you will be pleasantly suprised when the weather gets better and you can get it to hook better but High 11s is Still F'N moving..

I think I may have problem you may have...I have a 2 core intercooler too. I am currently using a 15# pulley for a stock motor but on my 383 setup with lower compression, cam, long tubes and etc, I am only seeing 10# of boost. On a 95 degree day after 3 back to back runs to 120-135 MPH on the Highway, I noticed my Scanmaster was reading 205 degrees on the IAT at the end of the third run. I am sure a 3 core would be much better for cooling.

I am shooting for High 11s anything lower than that would be GREAT....I dont want to go to radical on the tune like too much timing or race gas cuz I drive my car everyday, 500 Miles a Week. (My car is only street tuned right now and will be Dyno tuned later this year)

Anyways...Great Times!!

great times amn, pretty impressive. I feel you should be able to get some high tens with a good tune. Definatly have to get a 12 bolt swap done before you can really bring your 60 times down.

You got a link to where you figured that out? Neat little tool.
