finally made it to the track with new stuff CC503

ok well i finally made it back to the track last night, the last time i was there i was completely stock and went 9.2 (all we have around here is 1/8 miles tracks) on street tires. since then ive added a CC503 with supporting valvetrain (918's, 1.6pro mags, etc.. ) hooker longtubes with custom dual exhaust and a good set of mickey thompson ET Streets.

i made 3 passes here are the break downs in order

1st pass
Reaction........ .859
60 ft............. 1.956
330 ft........... 5.539
594 ft........... 7.912
1/8 mile ET.... 8.419
1/8 mile MPH.. 88.88

2nd pass
Reaction........ .665
60 ft............. 1.959
330 ft........... 5.549
594 ft........... 7.932
1/8 mile ET.... 8.440
1/8 mile MPH.. 88.58

3rd pass
Reaction........ .579
60 ft............. 1.906
330 ft........... 5.488
594 ft........... 7.862
1/8 mile ET.... 8.370
1/8 mile MPH.. 88.56

can anyone tell anything i may be able to improve from these times besides my reaction haha (.5 is perfect at this track) the car is an auto with out a stall, stock 10 bolt, i was hitting limiter between my 1/2 shift reving to about 6200-6300.

Reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. An improved 60' time is where you'll pick up ET.

I think i've decided my car is a bit on the factory freak side. With just a magnaflow catback, and ONE new back tire, it went the times in sig. Seems like your 60' could be better though. Nice runs either way.

There's nothing about your times in your sig that indicate you have a "factory freak".

Your MPH should net you some better ETs. You get that stall and you will be in the low 8s to high 7s.

i was wanting to work on my reaction cause a local strip does a street heads up class which is 8.2's and slower which i think i would do good in.

im not sure about the altitude but cars here in west KY seem to run slower than the ones in eastern KY. but as far as a factory freak goes my buddy had a stock lt1 on 20's go 8.80.. but like i said the best i ever got out of my car stock was a 9.2

Good times, but the 60' is definitely whats keeping you down. I ran the same 60' times with my almost stock 93 w/ an M6. I also only had 3.23 gears. My 1/8 mile time was a 9.1 at 76 or 78 mph I think. Your mph is definitely high enough to be putting you in the low low 8's or high 7's. Try a little suspension work and a stall and that thing will be flying.

Not to burst your bubble but your car did not come stock with a Magnaflo Cat-Back exhaust.

My car BONE STOCK ON STREET TIRES (dug these slips out just for you) went:

(not even my best stock time)
60'.....1.935
330....5.650
1/8....8.686
MPH...81.15

I'll see if I can find my best BONE STOCK slip to post for you.

That is SUPER impressive, IMO. When I seen your mph I was guessing it was a 6 speed. Get a GOOD stall and you'll be in the high 7s no problem!

A high stall and some low gears and you are there.

im really wanting a stall but im scared of the 10 bolt... on my 3rd pass i went full out trying to cut my best light and keep the car as straight as possible... i john force'd the burnout to make sure and get the tires sticky and as soon as i saw the last yellow light i was full throttle. not too sure how long the 10 bolt will last doing that.

With the A4 I wouldn't worry too much about the 10-bolt.

Mine with a catback only went 9.05 with a 2.2 60 ft. I could have easily hit high to mid 8's with a better 60 ft. This was on street tires.

I cut 1.6 60 ft with my 10 bolt. With nothing done to it but 3.73s.
