Finally Found the Valve Cover Modification Link

I remember seeing this a while back, but for all my searching on this site, I couldn't find out how the stock valve covers needed to be modified for Pro Magnum RR's.

Here's the link I found on the net:

Hopfully this thread will pop up when others do a search now.

Re: Finally Found the Valve Cover Modification Link

I used that guide when I put in my Comp RRs. Worked like a charm.

I dont think so, but it wouldnt hurt either. Not necessary for the crane style including the LT4 RR.

You would feel the clearance problems, most likely, when you put your valve covers on. You would feel the rockers hitting the valve cover.

I've never heard of doing this mod with Crane RR's. It's just a Comp Cams Pro Magnum mod.

There is no need for the mod if you are using the Crane rockers.I have used both the GMPP SA rockers(made by Crane) and the Crane gold race with out any problems.

Used that technique myself, works like a champ.

Now if someone could invent a temporary finger shrinking procedure, installing RR's and valvesprings would be simple.
