Thumbs up Finally....in the 11s!

Continued from this thread...

I finally got an 11 sec pass out of it

The slip is kinda hard to read, but this is what it says:

60'----1.79
1/8----7.70 @ 93.6
1/4----11.90 @ 118.4

The only thing that changed this time is a friend let me borrow his 58mm throttle body. (thanks, Claude)

Still had the sway bar on it, still had the 18" wheels on the front.

This was my only 11 sec pass because my belt tensioner broke on this pass...so I had to limp it home on the battery. Could have been worse though so I'm not gonna complain.

I'm content...for now

Very nice! Keep working at it, and you will keep going faster. I have said it before you will also pick up MPH as your tweak your setup to run better ETs....you are again proving that now. Ditch that front swaybar, and some skinnies and you should drop almost .2 in the 60ft.

Thanks guys and I'm steadily working on dropping those 60' times. Seems like the motor makes more power the more it breaks in. I've picked up ~3 mph in the last 500 miles or so. The motor only has about 650 miles on it right now, so hopefully the trend continues for a while And yes, I'm still shifting it at 7k (according to the factory tach anyways)

Oh and D/A today was 2910' btw...

Nice. Would like to see an 11.90 w/ the belt still in place though.

Looking good. Man, that's some nice mph. Many moons ago, my buddys 351 cleveland rebuild was like that. The more it broke in, the faster it went. I mean big time difference. Hope yours is the same.

congrats.

The MPH shows you are making some pretty good power.

I am sure you have heard this several times but get the 60 ft lower and you will be real impressed with the track times. Every tenth knocked off the 60 ft will result in 2 tenths from the 1/4 mile.

Thanks guys, it looks like the track might be open for a few more weekends, so I might get a chance to back that pass up...and maybe even better it

Nice, you can definately do better than 11.90's with as much power as your making. Later
