figured out my idle problem!

i checked the throttle body once again. i looked inside and noticed there was no play whatsoever in the blades. then i slowly tried to move the throttle cam. it had a "catch" in it. i looked at the throttle stop screw it was about 1/32 from the throttle, and had scratches all over it.

i turned it out to where ther was a everso slight almost nothing gap in the blades and then checked the tps. it was way low. i adjusted it accordingly and the catch is gone. i cranked her up and it idled down to normal. throttle response is crisper. revs harder. if i hold the rpms to 3k and then blip the throttle hard it will tap the revlimiter before i can let up.

sounds kinda like this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaWAAABAABOWWWWWWWWWWWWW

its awsome. sounds like a badass now. when it idles down to normal 8-900 i can hear the cam now (slightly bigger then stock)

i havent drivin it yet but i think the idle is normal now. hope i helped.

Re: figured out my idle problem!

ohh by the way, it has a adj fuel regulator on it, and the previous owner said he set it to 62psi? he said it ran better. should i turn it down to normal. i should get better mpg also right, (18-20 now) also i have a friend that has 30lb injectors in his 01 mustang and he wants to trade for my stockers. would i have to do any programmin to run right? or could i just lower my fuel pressure to compensate for the bigger injectors untill i can get it edited.

You will definatly need to do some programming when you up to 30# injectors. Even more so if you're fuel pressure is @62!
