Headers

Im thinking about putting headers on. First I need to know if I have to make mods to the cats or are there headers out there where I can just mount where the old manifold is? Second if I do switch do the headers have the plugs for the sensors that are in the manifold. And lastly what types are reccomended and do they cause heating problems. i have borla cat back system so suggestions and anwser appericated. Thanks Keaton

Re: Headers

your probably looking for shorty headers so you don't have to cut that nice stainless borla pipe. slp makes good shorty headers, and the everpopular edelbrock shorties will do fine too. i wouldn't go crazy spending lots on shorties.

Re: Headers

You said cats, so it should be either 96 or 97. The daul cat cars specific headers are said to be very restrictive and gains over stock manifold is marginal if any. I've seen a set and wasn't very impressed so went to full length headers.
BTW, yu don't have to touch the borla cat back when going with long headers, all that's required is a different y-pipe.
