Re: a few ?s before JET HOT LT install

For my Y-pipe I brought an off the shelf Hooker from summit. It clears perfectly... about an inch off room. It was annoying to line up, so I had the muffler shop adjust it a little so it's easy to line up. I had them weld my Cut outs on each side of the Y- pipe and I cut the rear I pipe off and had the cat put in place there. It was a simple solution, but all I can say is that the kit works very well. I don't know who posted the rumor about the cat not working in the I pipe location, but it's false. The Cat gets extremely hot, I mean hot. It turned the SS gold plenty quick, and I for some reason decided to touch it....only to find out why I don't listen to rumors anymore. But that setup works very well. Good luck.

thats the best way to do it

i just did my install this weekend,

for one i HIGHLY reccomend changing the motor mounts, i did not and im running into fitment issues everywhere, i shall change them this weekend

2nd i didnt even put teh plastic back onto the steering shaft or it would not rotate and u may have to been teh metal tabs on the linkage

third , does ur y-pipe have the indentation on it to clear teh crossmember , if not id reccomend calling jet hot lol , mine did not i have a buddy taking care of it

also when you put your Y pipe together did it line right up with your I-pipe ? like in the dead center of the car? it looks like mine may be a little longer after its put together. thanks for the help

Also when jacking the motor where should i put my blocks? under the oil pan? and can i leave the dr. side header on when i jack it? thanks
