Few Header Install Questions

1) Whats the best way to NOT break any bolts while removing the manifolds, had to drill out bolt in manifold/y-pipe flange and that wasnt fun.

2)Good method for removing the EGR/AIR? Ive heard its pain to get off.

3) When cleaning the contact area between the old manifolds and the heads, what is a good sand paper to use? From what i hear you can cause leaks if you polish too much ?

4) Get Metal header seals or go with the paper ones supplied with Macs?

5)anyone got any good links for a MAC Header (or general Header) install guide ?

make sure you soak the bolts over night. i soaked them overnight, and in the morning before i started. when i got to a bolt that wouldnt budge, i soaked it some more and moved to a different bolt!

just a tip: make sure you remove the AIR tubing before you install the headers!! my dumb*** forgot to and it was a PAIN to remove the metal tubing with the header in the way. i even used a dremel to cut it into several pieces! save yourself some time and do it first!

the EGR is extremely easy to remove

i went ahead and got felpro header gaskets

good luck! and have fun!!!
