Ok im waiting for my Kooks Lt to arrived this weeks and i was looking for a good headers gasket and good bolts/stud.

Does the 1406 felpro gasket will fit without any problem?

and

I was looking at some headers bolt and i found this:

I'm using the Fel-pro 1406s and they have worked flawlessly.

I know this is an old thread.. sorry to revive it.. I just wanted to verify that the header bolts are 3/8-16 by 1'' ...right?

I'm looking at these

okay, old thread... same question...

i ordered Felpro's gasket and ARP bolts for my kooks, they are finally here, and I'm ready for install...

however, do i use felpro or kooks gasket, the kooks gasket looks nicer, and is already trimmed... same with the bolts, the ARP bolts are longer than the ones kooks gave me, and they look better quality... look slike kooks gave me 3/4 in and the ARP i bought were 1 inch... which to go with?

ALWAYS use the 1" bolt. More thread engagement = more resistance to backing out.

I also swear by the 1406s. I've never had one leak in the 10 years I have been using them on my car (and customer cars too).

Much of this is just personal taste. In cases where the gaskets burned though it was almost always the headers and NOT the gaskets that were at fault, no matter what brand.
Also if I have a choice, I always use STUDS! And prefer the 12 point over the 6 point bolts.
