I am just about to button up the bottom of my LT1. I opened up the box for the rear main seal and three pieces came out.
1.The rubber rear main seal
2. the half moon gasket for the rear main gasket housing
3. a full circle gasket with 7 holes in it

WTF is the #3 gasket with the 7 holes for. It does not look familliar at all (I did take apart the engine about a year ago, but I usually remember the placement of all parts)

I am suspecting that it is a gasket for another year or non lt1 engine.
