Get a friend. Dont even attempt to do long tubes alone. Getting them in is hard, but getting them to sit on the gasket correct while you get a bolt in is nigh impossible alone. They're just too awkward/heavy IMO to do alone. Get a friend.

well since your doing this saturday start today and spray all the bolts with a penetrating fluid (power blaster works great for me) make sure you get all of the header bolts on both sides and the ypipe bolts at the manifold and cat. spray them, let it soak a day then spray them all again.
time to start, take the y pipe off, take all your emiisions stuff off the manifolds, remove the alternator, remove the starter, then go ahead and take the manifolds off. on the driver side of the head between the first and third primary there is a temperature sensor take it off or youll break it putting the LT's on.

tape the headers before you start to install them so they dont get scratched and pick a side to begin with. take the motor mount bolt out (not a bad time to switch to poly mounts) and jack the motor up as high as you can. slide the header in and bolt it up. let motor down reinstall the motor mount and do the same to the other side. then reinstall alternator and starter and attatch all egr and emissions stuff and fire it up.

take lots of breaks, get some bandaids out.

not a bad time to do plugs and wires while everything is out of the way, but becarefull cause plugs are easy to break when you hit them with a header.

there are also a lot of guides with pics if you search
