Fans not shutting off

Last month I had my water pump replaced. Since I got the car back my fans turn on after abou 5 minutes and they just don't go off until I shut the car off!! It isn't unusual for the fans to come on but they eventually click off, at least they used to beore the water pum was replaced. Any ideas? I have a 160* thermo and the fans are programmed to come on at 180 I think. The temp gauge stays at or below the first marking so it isn't getting all that hot but I could have sworn it was running cooler before I brought the car in!! Thanks!

No, unfortunately I don't have any way to sacn or read the computer. I might have to invest in a code reader. The car does warm up to around 180 before the fans kick in. I was cold here yesteday but the car still reached the 180 within 5 minutes and the fans were on. I shouldn't have even had the car out cuz its now uninsured for the winter but it was a nice clear day and I wanted to drive it around the block and get the fuel with stabilizer run through it. We are getting snow now and all day tomorrow so the car is away until March or April at least.

Well, if it reached 180* before the fans kicked on, then what's the problem? I have a 160* thermostat and the car stays right around 170*. Depending on the tune, the fans could be acting completely normal.

It just gets there way to quick (hotter than it ran before the new water pump went on) and it doesn't go off until I shut of the car. predviously once I got it on the freeway it would go off.
