Fan switch mod trouble(not an SES code)
Using http://www.acaenterprises.com/x3ro/fanmod/ and http://csce.uark.edu/~jgbertr/rb/fan_sw_diagram2.jpg for adding in the resistors that makes the trouble code on a 96 go away, I made my switch.
The switch works, and no SES light, but the car idles VERY high when the switch is turned off. It idles decent while on, but when you turn the switch off, the car almost stalls and then it starts to idle at 1500-2000 rpms. When hooked up to the two wires in the engine bay, both lights go on reguardless of which way the switch is going, and when you remove those two wires from the switch, only one light comes on when to the right and both when it is to the left like it is supposed to. Car runs fine when it is unhooked now.
Any idea what I did wrong?
Thanks for any help
