Fan On/Off temps -- Modify With Resistor at Waterpump Sensor?

If the PCM is controlling the fan on/off temps by using the resistance of the sensor in the waterpump, could a resistor be wired in series to make the PCM turn the fans on before the temp is 226*F, or would the PCM make too many other adjustments for the cooler running temps to be worth it?

Just a thought ......

Best not to fool the pcm. Too many other calculations are made using the temps. MHO.

Ya, I was kind of expecting that ..... the more I thought about it, the more I convinced myself it's a bad idea

Wouldn't the PCM start to pull timing due to the high reading from the sensor?
