Same thing has been happening to me, except my fan fuse is a 10 amp, that year is your car?

You live in NYC? That’s funny because my fuse blew yesterday on Canal Street, then again on Flushing Ave in Brooklyn this morning. Then once more on the BQE, it sucked. Where do you live?

Apparently the fan fuse is connected to other systems in the car. Skip shift and reverse lockout, also the o2 sensors, EVAP canister, some others I think. One of these other systems is probably failing and causing the problem.

I found out that my reverse lockout solenoid went bad and is causing the fuse to blow, which is disabling my fans. Now I just have to figure out it the solenoid is bad, or if it’s a wiring problem.

Good Luck

Airpump. Should be covered under the recall.
