False knock retard? Take a look at the log please.
hey, First of all i have already tried the computer page and it only got 14 views and no replies.i've been pissing around for almost 6 months tring to figure out where all my knock retard is coming from. I just seafoamed my car and installed a 160* stat. I have a log from freescan in excel. Can someone confirm that this looks like false knock? It looks like it pulls it out real fast and then slowly adds it back in. I am also ran about a 50/50 mix of 110 race gas and 93 oct and i still was geting kr. I have no way of hosting it so i would have to email it to you. Thanks,
Nick

When pulling timing, the PCM will pull timing aggressively (fast) and return it slowly because it's avoiding getting what it perceived as knock again.
If you've run that much race fuel and still got the retard, then I'm going to say that it's most likely false. Have you verified that the header and y-pipe are not hitting the chassis under the car anywhere? Weak motor mounts can allow the a header to tap the k-member (at least in the case of Hooker LT's) causing KR. Have you verified that you don't have an exhaust leak? Are all the plugs tight?

i had a loose plug before and i think thats where the knock was coming from but i tightened it up and i'm still geting it, i have been geting the kr before i installed the headers so i don't think that was it.
