Extremely Rich Condition

i have been running extremely rich since i bought my car 3 months ago. i changed plugs and they had the rich black coat over them.. im wondering if the guy before me having a larger throttle body with no other mods might be the cause any ideas?

A larger throttle body will not cause it to run rich, whether there are other mods or not. Could be many things, including faulty IAT sensor, faulty MAP sensor (both critical to your speed-density system), faulty coolant temp sensor, faulty O2 sensors or wiring, leaks in the exhaust before the O2 sensors, excessive misfires, excessive fuel pressure, leaky injectors, etc.

Have you scanned it for codes?

the guy before me had bosch in there which i absolutely hate.. i went back to the original AC delco .. i also did discover a small leak from the exhaust manifold gasket on the driver side.. i thought it was a loose rocker but i had the hood open on a cold morning and saw it shooting out when i was reving from under the hood.. mechanics tell me that leak wouldnt be enough to do that though

Hmm...so it ran better before you changed plugs, and the plugs that came out don't look as the new ones have been described???

An exhaust leak before the O2 sensors causes a rich condition. Did you pretty much write off any of the other potential problems I mentioned? Did you ever scan it?
