ok scanned the car
got a code for both o2 sensors but they were jumping around..
BUT
my bank1 was running rich (drivers side) and bank 2 was running lean..

My car after about 15 min of drivin would stall if the rpms got too low and would backfire.. does have the umph it use to..
got opti/lifters all replaced
suggestiosn please!

Could it be..
fuel pressure regulator?
o2's? actually bad? even tho they jumpin up/down
bent valve?
clogged fuel rails? filter?

 

Swap O2's side to side either with just the plugs or actually move them and see what happens. Sweet ride by the way, I love it. I keep thinking what would Barney drive?

 

Your fuel system pressure can be checked out with a gauge to see if it is operating correctly. If you are worried about the filter, just change it.

Not sure why you would suspect a bent valve. They just don't go getting bent for no reason.

What was the O2 code you got?...there are so many

 

im suspecting a bent valve cuz i didnt adjust the rockers properly for about 15 km and bent like all my pushrods.. but it ddnt do this after i got new pushrods.....

It showed that both o2's were not functioning properly
gunna check fuel pressure as soon as i get a guage...

You've got 5 threads on LT1 Engine Tech, all posted since 8/6, all covering essentially the same problem. As a result you have bits and pieces of info scattered all over the place, and answers that are duplicates of what other people have posted. This isn't the way to solve a problem. State the problem clearly and concisely, advise any changes you made immediately before the problem started, any steps you have taken to solve the problem, and PUT IT ALL IN ONE THREAD.

Both Shoebox and I (in one of the other threads) have asked you for the EXACT numerical codes.... but so far, no answer. How do you expect us to help you.
