Exhuast Question?

Alright well i have 97 z28 with SLP shorty headers into a random tech dual cat y-pipe into a magnaflow catback...well i wanted to put my stock y-pipe with a single gutted cat and cutout on it so my car roars like it used to...

If i did this would this mess up my car? I have 2 o2 sensors now and 1 goes into the headers and 1 in the y-pipe and the stock single cat y-pipe doesnt have a spot for an o2 sensor..so would my car be aight if didnt use that 1 o2 sensor....

Or

Should i jus put a cutout before the magnaflow...(how loud would it make it)

Re: Exhuast Question?

If you switched over to the other y-pipe, you would probably need some 02 sims. to take care of your rear 02 sensors.

Re: Exhuast Question?

How could your stock pipe not have a spot for an 02 sensor? OBD2 need pre and post cats. Pre to monitor air fuel and post to monitor catalyst efficiency.
