Exhaust leak from JBA shorties

Hey all,

I noticed a small exhaust leak coming from the driver's side, starting a couple of months ago. Lately it's gotten really, really loud so I finally investigated. I can feel exhaust puffing up from the driver's side header, between the header flange and the head.

Is it possible that the header bolts on that side need to be tightened down some, or is it more likely that the gasket itself is shot and needs to be replaced? The headers have been on the car for several years and haven't been touched since they were originally installed. It's the first exhaust leak they've had.

Thanks

Several years is nothing to complain about when it comes to header gaskets. So quit yer cryin.

Replace your gaskets with some good ones - dead soft alum or alum with graphite inserts. Check & tighten them twice after a few heat cycles. Good to go.
