Re: exhaust flow single vs dual

the basic theory is this. Given a dual pipe system of say 2 inch each and if you took that area of the 2 inch pipes and did the exact same in a single the single would outflow it because there is less frictional resistance in a single surface thant there is in two. If you need the math to back it up let me know an i am happy to post it

what ever you do dont say TRUE (god that pis**s me off) duals then talk about a crossover pipe or x pipe no longe a dual system at that point.

The biggest issue for most to run 2 small pipes instead 1 large one is just clearence. I am a road racer type and you never see dual exhaust on those type of full on race cars. Road race to me more equals day to day preformance driving. Now if you are a drag race type then by al means go sHort duals (did i mention not to say TRUE dual) (wonder where that term got started? it is just friggin dual exhaust) (TRUE duals as opposed to what FALSE duals?)
wheeeeee .... end of rant

But i personally like a big single. IMO it is easier to tune for as well. Unless you are a flat out WOT kinda driver.

umm...i think people say true dual because the dual outlets on our single exhaust is kinda "fake" dual...therfore with real dual exhaust us f body guys kinda have to denote the difference...everyone else may think were retarded but...haha who care
