Exhaust
Exhaust
Finally deciding to upgrade the exhaust on my 95 Z28. Been looking at the Borla single cat setup (y pipe)
not sure if I should just go with long tube headers and a hi flow cat instead? Or a true dual setup?
definitely want to have that “Meaner” V8 sound already. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Exhaust
Re: Exhaust
Years back when I first started modifying my car, the Borla cat back system was one of my first mods. I really liked the sound and with the adjustable plates on the passenger side, you can adjust the loudness/agressiveness to your taste. For a completely stock application, this would be very sufficient.
Even when I did my first build (cam, long tube headers, stroker kit) I kept this system in place. If you are planning big mods, Mufflex has 3.5 and 4" systems for our cars.

Re: Exhaust
the Borla sound is what I think attracts me most. Right now they have a pretty decent deal on the y-pipe setup. I have the single cat on my vehicle. Was yours somewhat the same thing? Did you really like what you got out of the system for how much they can run?
And thanks for the info on the other system, I will look into that as well.

Re: Exhaust
Mine was from the catalytic convertor back and had dual exits at the back.
As far as cost vs value or results, all mods are expensive. Borla is proud of their products and their price reflects that. Of course, it's all stainless so you are going to pay for that. But it will last.
