Excellent Flowing LT1 heads

Hey guys. Just out of curiously in order to compare some things, what would a very well flowing, fully CNC ported LT1 head flow? Intake? Exhaust?

In addition, any rwhp numbers with some of these high end heads would be nice too.

I would think good really good LT1 heads would flow at least 280 cfm intake, not sure about exhaust though. About the dyno numbers, what type of cam to use as a reference??

Lets say CC306 cam for dyno numbers and stock short block.

Close to 400 at the wheels with a really good set of heads. Flow numbers can sometimes be misleading, as I've read that some people hog out the ports and lose all port velocity, but have great flow numbers so they can try and sell someone the heads. I'm not even close to an expert, but I know a good set of heads has much more to it than just flow numbers but that's about the only way you can compare two sets of heads (is there any other way besides knowing who did the work?). To be honest, if I had the cash I'd go with Phil's advanced induction heads and have them order you a custom cam. I think I've seen two different guys pushing over 400rwhp on stock shortblock and I know at least one of them was through a full exhaust and shorty headers! That's just awesome!

M6, solid roller 242/248 duration, .570/.577 lift and 112 lsa, 11.5 CR, 4.11s, shorties (see what happends). I think the heads will flow 279/233 at .600, and still good at .500 (I think 278/223 at .500).

flow benches dont win races!!!!!,,,,port design is everything!
my lt4's flowed only 262in but still runs 11's
a good head porter asks questions such as wt of car, converter size, header size, camsize and such!,I'v could have had big flow #'s but that would only empty my wallet for bragging rights on this board....heed my warning the diff. in horspower beetween a 260in head and a 280in head is negligible, that is unless the whole system is design to work around high flowing heads.

He asked for cam specks, cid, compression I want to run, if it was an M6 or auto when I sent him the heads. So I think he knows what he is doing. I have seen some good work come out of him. Plus, he flows YOUR heads when done and sends in the flow sheet. I think that a good flowing head with an agressive solid roller cam should make lots of mid-top end on even a stock 350 with 11:1 CR, or a touch higher. I think that even through shorties, 400 rwhp will be possible.

Talk to Ellis Groo, aka OneFlyn95Z28 or TwoFst4lv (sp?). Check this thread: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=61715
