Re: Exact balancer needed

The front will require a neutral balanced damper. ATI and Fluidampr make them, but you could also find others on the internet, or in Summit of JEG's. It has to be F-Body LT1-specific (Corvette will not work), and it has to be selected based on the year of your car (which you don't mention). The OBD-II cars need a different hub length because of the crank position sensor.

NHRA requires an SFI-rated damper when you go under 11.00-seconds.

the block is a 94, but my car is a 97. i called a machine shop and they just said if its externally balanced you need exteranlly balanced parts as well.

Re: Exact balancer needed

i called the engine shop and told him, he said all ive got now will carry over from my 97lt1 to the 94 block. i asked if he was sure he said yes, the front is nuetraly balanced and the back is externally balanced. so he said the flexplate and hub would work.

if you do not have the CPS reluctor in there, the 97 hub will be to short for proper belt alignment, you need a 93-95 front hub, everything else will work
