EWP install question

Have the block back from the rebuilder and realized I have a big hole where the bearing for the water pump used to be. Do I need to close this or leave it be?

Thanks all.

Ben

We typically weld the hole shut.

When I did my cam swap I justed measured the hole (I think it was 1" dia. but don't quote me) and went to my local Napa and picked up a brass freeze plug that size and tapped it in with a platic mallet. Fit real nice and snug, shouldn't have any problems with it.

I work in a machine shop for the school so i just turned a plug out of aluminum and pressed it in, took like 15 min if you have access to a lathe
