I almost made it with a stock tune, the second time we flashed the converter and the car flew off of the dyno. I'll be posting some very nice #s and ETs very soon. I have a stock bottom end and was spinning into the 11s in a 105 heat index.

What about porting stock heads/intake and a custom cam? LOTS of guys here have hit over 400rwhp with heads and cam and I want to join the club next year. Obviously some AFRs would be better, but stock heads should be able to do the trick if worked correctly right?

Figured I'd bump this back up to the top and also say I got a great response from Phil (www.advancedinduction.com) answering all my questions and pointing me in the right direction. Thanks again Phil, really appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll be able to use their services soon and be posting some numbers in this one. Have to do a clean up on my block and definitely sending my heads down there.

I dunno I baught my heads from a guy that made 412rwhp & I ran 111.5mph in the 1/4 so I doubt I'll be doing very well on the dyno & thats with an xe236/242, hydra rev, etc... look in my sig, although I checked cylinder #8 & it seems to only have about 140psi while others have 185 so that maybe the problem, I"m taking off my LTCC & gonna try running just the opti, I get a hesitation & a wet plug in cylinder number 8 which may either indicate bad ignition washing out the piston ring(s) or crappy bottom end or bent valve somehow from overeving or soemthing.

i was lookin at your dyno graph, and it shows you going to 6950 (although you stopped making power before going that high).
The cam peaked at around 6300rpm and leveled of. At 6800rpm it was only down a few hp. I've tried various shift points at the track, from 6000-6600rpm and al it did was affect my mph, not ET.
It usually traps between 115-116mph, best ever was 117.72mph and thats with no weight reduction.
The car is very decent on the street and in traffic. I drive it to work and around daily in the summer.

at woodbridge dynotech(reads lower)
392rwhp & 373rwtq - cutouts open
376rwhp & 353rwtq - cutouts closed

at Carolina auto masters
393rwhp & 358rwtq - cutouts closed

with a crappy tune it seems a/f go from 11.5 - 13.5all over the place... getting redynotuned at beginin of next month
if i woulda opened cutouts at CAM it woulda done over 400rwhp

Advanced induction ported lt1 heads, their 211 cam, the other ussual crap

I dynoed a little under 400hp without the N2O. I am using AFR 195 LT4 heads and obviously an LT4 intake with Holley 58mm throttle body. Other mods include Corvette 4 bolt block, Lunati forged crank / rods, SRP flat tops, Comp Cams 503 cam, Pro Magnum 1.6 rockers, SLP headers, Borla cat back, Zex 125hp dry kit, Ford 30# SVO injectors, Del-Trans 4L60E with Pro-Torque 2400 converter, Moser 12-bolt w/3.73s, BMR, torque arm, BMR sub frame connectors and Wolfe Craft 6 point roll bar.

My best time so far is an 11.6@118 on a hot day. This car can be driven as a daily driver if you feel like paying that much for fuel. Everything runs pretty good and I'm happy with the mods.

those are the regular port n polish job on LT1 heads not the "econo" the car still has alot left in it with just tuning and opening the cutouts. Not to mention I got 141k miles on the bottom end and burning oil like a bitch

car has elec wp, cloyes chain, 30# injectors, comp "r" lifters, comp 1.6 rr, 95 vented opti, untouched lt1 intake, 58mm tb, impala headgaskets, hooker lts, mufflex ypipe w/ two 3" cutouts, B&B catback prolly more crap i left out too

LOL, nice to see your #'s are where they should be Brian - ~400rw through 3" exhaust. I remember the first dyno session forever ago when it was filling the dyno bay with blue smoke at 130k, I'm surprised it's still putting down that much power

Eric Buss (IRA Buss I believe) should have some numbers back up where they should be (originally 401rw through exh), in the 415-420rw SAE range as well .

Thx guys, nice to see the stuff is still working & hasn't eaten itself alive yet . Let me know if you run the car or want anything, except this weekend, argh, I'll be gone for a few days whilst I relocate myself.

Thx,

-Phil
