Error Code 43 does this seem logical?

i was just checking out another website on the error code 43 which has caused a lot of problems for some of us. I found this interesting and thought i would share it to see if it was logical or not.

http://chevythunder.com/199295_lt1_trouble_codes.htm

Code 43- Knock sensor circuit. Check ecm for open or short to ground. Check routing of wiring, including spark plug wires near knock senor wiring, reroute as necessary. Replace knock sensor.

If this is logical i'm going to start checking my plug wires, can anything bleed through and affect the signal on the cable that the knock sensor is using? (example: cat5 and power lines, AM Radio and Unshielded cable etc etc..)

The knock sensor and ABS wiring is close to the passenger side header. Common for the wire insulation/loom tubing to be damaged by the heat. Check that first for your issue.

the loom looks good from what i can tell, i did find one wire that was slightly melted but i highly doubt that would cause this problem since i have had the SES light since my rebuild a year ago. also double check the to see if plug wires were close to it...and nothing it does run close to the starter s-noid. i'm thinking once i get the headache fixed its going up for sale!
