what can cause car to idle funny? Sometimes my idle is at 800rpm, and sometimes it is at 1100. The oil pressure is a bit higher that normal also. I understand with more revs, the higher the pressure. What electrical components are located on the intake that would regulate this?

 

Check egr valve for blown diaphram. use a vacuum pump.

 

Do you have a miss while your driving at all? Is there any knock? If so it could possibly ignition related.

Just as a reference my car had a rough idle (tact jumped abouy the same as yours) i had a miss on one of my cylinders. Check your plugs and wires, could be the problem. Hopefully not an opti issue! Good luck figuring it out
