My car for a while was running right at the half way mark on the high way, and then when I got off the high way it would come right back down to under he 1/4 mark. This was because I had taken the air dam off the car for a while since it scrapped everything, I decided that I could deal with it scrapping to keep the temps down though, lol.

 

Ya thats the same way with mine right now; half way w/o the airdam. I just have to find out where i put it when i took it off...

 

On the highway I sit just below half and as soon as I get off the highway I run just above a 1/4. Every other car I've owned is backwards to that. I've had cars that over heat in town and as soon as I hit the highway it runs cool.
I can deal with it the way it is now.

 

It's either not getting enough air or not enough coolant flow. A blockage in either would cause the same thing.

 

Mine runs right around 1/4 of the way, unless I am sitting with no airflow. Then it gets to 1/2 (about 210-ish?) and then goes back and forth a little as the fans go/stop.
