engine swap 93z for 93vette

my eninge for my 93Z28 (God rest its soul) is no more. my replacement is from a 93 vette. since i am unprepared to install myself, a "friend" offered to help. but i know my car very well and it feels like something isnt right. any insights or "been there done that" info would be a huge help. the trust isnt there for my friend anymore so im on my own as far as my Z goes.

I'm pretty sure that the accessories(they way they are arranged) are different, like the alternator, ac, ect. I'm not sure if it'll fit the same...and I heard that the fuel lines might be different but i'm not sure on that one. Sorry I couldn't help more.

The longblock is identical. You will need to bolt up everything else from your motor. Only thing im not sure is whether in 93 the vettes were also speed density, or if they were maf. Also 93s do not have a return fuel line, but your car is setup for that already. You could always use your fuel rail anyway

vette

'93 is speed density.
engine will swap over beautifuly.
You will just need to change over your accessories, oil pan, brackets, etc. Vette also has two knock sensors, the Camaro may just have one, I forget. no biggie. Also Vette engine has 4 bolt main, camaro only two. Swap should go just fine.

One thing also that you're going to have to do is remove the accessory bracket from the Z28 motor and bolt it on to the Vette motor. I do believe that the two cars used different brackets. It's not difficult, just three bolts holding it on. Other than that, it's a direct swap.
