I purchased the ultimate American V-8 engine data book 2nd edition because it was supposed to have all the engine block and suffix definitions in it. After researching this in the book and other forms I got real close to the suffix which is V0926YSH, see attached pictures. Does anyone know what suffix YSH means. YSS and YST is 1996 Camaro.

 

Does the reference book cover the Firebird LT1 coding?

 

Yes 1955 to 1981 Pontiacs

 

That wouldn’t cover 4th Gen LT1’s.

I'm not looking for anything. I was trying to help you by insuring you had checked your reference book for LT1 codes for Firebirds. I have no idea if they are the same as the Camaro codes, or possibly different..
