Engine problem, need help

Recently, my LT1 has developed a stumble or hesitation. It happens, but only periodically, off idle, I can floor it, an dit feels like I'm being held back by soemthing an dthen you can feel soem stumbling, then it accelerates noarmally. My car is stock aside from a Borla. I run 93 fuel. I have had 2 opinions, 1 saying it's the fuel filter needing to be changed, the other saying chnage your O2 sensor. Any help woul dbe appreciated.

To answer your question, I belive they were changed at least 3 years ago. I di dfail to mention, and I concentrated an dtook note of this. I got a rebuilt rear end in June. I stepped on it today leaving work and it feels as though the rear end gears are the culprit. It feels like they're binded up. I hear no pinging, no sound of anything ignition wise, but it sure feels as though it's soemthing in the rear end.
