Engine Problem
I have a '97 SS with only 48000 miles. It has been my weekend car, since I plan to keep it as an antique.
When in between 1500 and 2000 rpm the engine surges like the gas don’t get there smoothly. It is more obvious at low speed, but you can still feel it at high speed. If you step on gas it goes with no problem, but once you bring back the pedal and cruise, you can feel it again. When accelerate and abruptly let go the gas the engine almost stalls. Took it to dealer and they suggested to change O2 sensor. I have changed O2 sensors, spark plugs and wires and air and gas filter. Only a little improve.
Any suggestions? Confused!
Also, when I got it new from the dealer it came with an intake manifold oil leak, which took three dealers to fix. Well, the leak is back again. Is there anything I can do to make them fix this at no cost to me?
Help!!!
Thanks

No! There is absolutely nothing you can do to make anyone fix that problem since any work done is good for 30 to 90 days tops. My suggestion is to fix the intake problem and then see if your problem still exists. Chances are if the intake is leaking oil externally then it may be leaking air as well. Take care of the known problems first and see if that effects the other problems that are occuring.
