Question Engine priming question

how long can i keep my rebuilt engine primed and ready before i fire it up?
i was just wondering since the engine is still out, its much easier to prime it and then put back the intake, valve covers, wiring harness, etc..... while the engine is on the stand before i mount it back in. this might take me couple of days b/c of my job i dont have much time to work on the car

Once it's primed well enough (oil out of the PRs) it will be fine for a good long while. Don't worry about a few days.

Personally, I yanked the injector and ignition fuses right before my first fire up and cranked it over a few times. Oil pump helped lubricate everything and then I put the fuses back in, turned the key and it fired up on the first crank.
