Its a 97 z28 6speed.Every morning i let her warm up for atleast 5min before I take it on the road and there is no noise whatso ever comming from the engine at idle , but when I am cruising down the street I hear a ticking sound comming from the engine around the 3-4 thousand rpm mark but it goes away as soon as pass it . And it completley goes away when the motor hits operating temperature. I thought i was valve springs and rockers so i replaced those to 1.6 roller and LT4 springs. But the noise is still there. Right now I have the intake off ,Is there anything i should check while im down there??
