Lightbulb engine dress up

Hey, I'm wanting to start dressing up my engine. I'm going to use a lot of really shinny stuff but I need a little color too. I can't figure out what color would look good with my forest green car. Anyone seen anything that looks good with this color or have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jason

A little red on the intake manifold sets things off nicely .

Then polish the aluminum..... ... throttle body, fuel rails.

IMHO, the best thing to do is just get whats in there as clean and as polished as possible. Add-on parts like aluminum covers and colored wire loom don't add a lot of value....

That's nice. I like the way the intake kinda sets everything off. Not too much, not too little. A touch of dry nitrous isn't bad either!

Thanks for the peek.

Anyone else got some pics?

Thanks,
Jason

Hey injuneer, can you tell me where I could get my intake powder coated? And, how much?

I'm sure you can get them powder coated, but mine came from GM like that...... its an LT4 intake.

If you are really into appearance items, you would probably get a lot better response on the "Appearance" forum.... there have been a lot of posts there on engine dress-up and powder coating.

Actually, I was thinking about the LT4 intake. Especially since it was already red. I'll have to try the appearance page. Thanks for the info.

The LT4 intake won't fit unless you also go with some LT4 heads... Just get yours powdercoated or buy one that's already been powdercoated. People sell them all the time.

WOW, that sucks! I thought that the LT4 intake would just bolt right on. I didn't know I had to have the LT4 heads too. I've seen a lot of LT1 intake manifolds that have already been powder coated and evens some that are powder coated and ported for a little over $200. I guess I'll have too look around.

Thanks for the info Madwolf. That's why I like this board...I learn something new everyday.
